Planet Save posted an article on Congressman Ron Paul's push to keep the government out of medical Marijuana.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul today released a statement urging public support for a House Bill advocating the government stay out of the medical marijuana business and allow state sanctioned clinics the freedom to dispense pot without fear of being raided.

Paul has introduced the “Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act”, H.R. 5842, which would bar the Federal Government from intervening in doctor/patient relationships that violate no state law. This, by the way, is the second legislation co-sponsored by Congressman Paul dealing with the cannabis plant. More on that later.

Is it just me, or are more and more members of the U.S. Government pushing for Marijuana law reform?

While I haven't been a huge Ron Paul fan like some of those out there I saw this video today and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I'm about ready to go register as a republican just to be able to vote in the primary for Ron Paul. Edit: Here's a Youtube video of Ron Paul, no need to embed it. -Phus

According to the prediction markets, Ron Paul has pulled ahead of John McCain. He's now around 6% to win the GOP nomination, vs. McCain's 4.5%.

If you want legalization, Ron Paul is your only hope.
