Stricter border control imposed by the German government has resulted in a boom of growing operations in an effort to circumvent the difficulties associated with smuggling and trafficing. Der Spiegel reports:
"In the study the International Narcotics Control Board, which monitors the implementation of the United Nations international drug conventions, said cannabis was increasingly being grown in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.According to INCB, the increase in home-grown cannabis is a result of tighter border controls.
In the past, illicit drugs were smuggled into Europe from the Caribbean, but less porous borders have forced those in the drug business to set up local cultivating operations."
Not only that, but apparently the local grown variety is "four times as potent as conventially grown drugs". It seems as if every week weed is getting stronger and stronger and stronger. Funny as I have yet to buy Amsterdam grade quality anywhere other than Amsterdam.
