Cannabis Factories in Germany Growing Like Weeds

Stricter border control imposed by the German government has resulted in a boom of growing operations in an effort to circumvent the difficulties associated with smuggling and trafficing. Der Spiegel reports:

"In the study the International Narcotics Control Board, which monitors the implementation of the United Nations international drug conventions, said cannabis was increasingly being grown in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.According to INCB, the increase in home-grown cannabis is a result of tighter border controls.
In the past, illicit drugs were smuggled into Europe from the Caribbean, but less porous borders have forced those in the drug business to set up local cultivating operations."
Not only that, but apparently the local grown variety is "four times as potent as conventially grown drugs". It seems as if every week weed is getting stronger and stronger and stronger. Funny as I have yet to buy Amsterdam grade quality anywhere other than Amsterdam.

Former narc gives advice on avoiding drug arrest

Some of you may remember Barry Cooper, a former NARC, who in 2006 released a How To: Never Get Busted Again for Weed DVD. Cooper has returned and this time has shifted his focus from the end user to the grower, in his new title Never Get Raided which teaches viewers how to buy, sell and grow pot without going to jail.

Not everyone is pleased with Cooper's business venture, however.

"Police greeted the movie with sarcasm, but no real concern ... "Now that's getting a little close to home," said Richard Dickson, who served with Cooper on the West Texas Permian Basin Drug Task Force in the 1990s. "That kind of information affects all kinds of undercover agents. It puts all kinds of operations at risk, even on homeland security issues."
