Trooper Confiscates Medical Marijuana In Aurora

According to KGW, an Oregon state trooper confiscated marijuana from a medical marijuana patient near Aurora, OR. The trooper pulled over a Lexus for speeding and could smell the Marijuana when the car window went down. Although the "suspect" was a Oregon Medical Marijuana Plan registered cardholder, he was far above his limit of 24 ounces of usable Marijuana in the state of Oregon.
The 49-year-old driver said it was medical marijuana. The trooper found seven 18-gallon plastic tubs filled with marijuana – approximately forty pounds total.

It was being transported from a registered grow site in The Dalles to his Gervais residence, which is not a registered grow site, according to police.

The man was allowed to keep the amount he is legally allowed to possess, said OSP Sergeant Dale Young.

It's too bad the article

It's too bad the article doesn't specify whether the cannabis was still wet from only recently being harvested.

Oregon law allows a patient to possess 24 ounces of 'usable' cannabis, not to include stalks, leaves, and/or seeds.

It is entirely possible that the patient in this article was within his limits under Oregon statutes.

Yes, usable... so I'd

Yes, usable... so I'd imagine if it was wet. he may of been within his limit. Good point anon!

I doubt a pound and a half

I doubt a pound and a half of 'usable' mj would come from 40lbs of this weed. It's obvious he was beyond his legal limit.

if it was an outdoor grow,

if it was an outdoor grow, he may have a years supply LEGALLY!
